📑Initial Immigration Consultation Agreement

Effective Date: July 2025

This consultation agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing an initial immigration consultation conducted by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) affiliated with Turaco Immigration Services Inc. By scheduling and paying for the consultation, the client agrees to the terms set forth below.

Consultation Agreement – Rights, Responsibilities, and Conditions

1. The purpose of this consultation is to:

  • Understand Your Background: Review the personal, professional, and immigration-related information you provide

  • Assess Eligibility: Identify possible immigration pathways based on current Canadian laws and your circumstances

  • Answer Questions: Provide responses to general inquiries about immigration programs and processes

  • Suggest Next Steps: Recommend potential strategies and future options, where applicable

 

❗ This consultation does not include:

  • Full document review (e.g., employment letters, ECAs, IDs)

  • Study plan or SOP preparation

  • Form filling or application preparation

  • Legal representation or submissions

  • Any guarantees of eligibility or application success

All advice provided reflects the law and policies in effect at the time of consultation and may become outdated due to regulatory changes.

2. Consultation Format

  • Mode: Online video call via Google Meet (unless otherwise agreed)

  • Duration: Up to 60 minutes

  • Follow-Up: Limited follow-up by email may be permitted at the RCIC’s discretion

  • Client Notes: It is the client’s responsibility to take notes during the consultation

  • Recording: Clients may not record the session without express written consent from Turaco Immigration Services

  • Authorized Participants: Only the client and their spouse/common-law partner or dependent children may attend. Friends or extended family may not participate without prior written permission.

 

3. Booking & Confirmation

  • All consultations must be booked in advance through our online system, by phone, or via email

  • Consultations are confirmed only after full payment is received

  • A confirmation email will be sent with meeting details once the booking is finalized

 

4. Consultation Fees

  • All consultation fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full at the time of booking

  • The consultation fee is quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and may be subject to applicable taxes or transaction charges

  • If the consultation results in a full-service engagement, the fee may be credited toward the overall service cost (at the discretion of the consultant and where applicable)

 

5. Rescheduling, Cancellations & Refunds

 

5.1 Rescheduling

  • You may reschedule once without penalty if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice

  • Requests made less than 24 hours before the consultation may incur a $25 CAD rescheduling fee, subject to availability

  • Additional rescheduling beyond one change may require a new booking and full payment

 

5.2 Cancellations

  • All cancellations are non-refundable, regardless of notice

  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to attend, your session will be marked as a no-show, and the consultation fee is forfeited

5.3 Emergency Considerations

  • We understand emergencies happen. If you miss your appointment due to an unforeseen event, contact us within 24 hours to explain. We will do our best to accommodate a rescheduling on a case-by-case basis

 

5.4 Consultant-Initiated Cancellation

  • If Turaco Immigration Services must cancel or reschedule due to an unexpected issue, we will offer the next mutually convenient time or issue a full refund

 

6. Late Arrivals

  • Clients are expected to join the consultation on time

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your session may be shortened accordingly

  • After 15 minutes without notice, your appointment may be marked as a no-show, and the session will be forfeited

 

7. No Representation Established

Booking a consultation does not establish a representative-client relationship. Legal representation before IRCC, CBSA, or the Immigration and Refugee Board requires a separate, signed Retainer Agreement with distinct terms and responsibilities.

 

8. Confidentiality

All personal information and documents shared with Turaco Immigration Services will be kept strictly confidential and handled in accordance with the CICC Code of Professional Conduct, Canadian privacy laws, and professional obligations.

 

9. Consent and Governing Law

By proceeding with your booking and payment, you:

  • Confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Consultation Agreement

  • Acknowledge that a separate Retainer Agreement is required for legal representation

  • Consent to the collection and use of your information for the purposes of this consultation

  • Agree that this agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and applicable federal laws of Canada.
